About Dr. Soler Lopez
Dr. Giselle Soler Lopez is a bilingual (English & Spanish) Licensed Psychologist with over a decade of experience working with immigrant communities. As a daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, she understands firsthand the complexities of migration, cultural identity, and the resilience required to navigate new systems. Her work is driven by a deep passion for advocating for immigrant rights and ensuring that individuals and families receive the compassionate, trauma-informed psychological support they deserve.
She has extensive experience as a forensic evaluator and former Clinical Director at a nonprofit organization serving survivors of torture, where she successfully conducted evaluations for individuals seeking asylum in the U.S. In this role, she also led a training program for doctoral psychology practicum students and provided ongoing training for interpreters working with trauma survivors. Additionally, she creates digital mental health resources for mental health providers working with Spanish-speaking communities, ensuring that psychoeducational resources are accessible and culturally relevant.
Dr. Soler Lopez earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Religious Studies from Mount St. Mary’s University. She then received her Master’s and Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
In her private practice, Dr. Soler Lopez focuses on providing comprehensive psychological evaluations for immigration cases and consultation for organizations and professionals working with immigrant populations. She specializes in conducting evaluations for asylum, U & T Visas, hardship waivers, and VAWA. Beyond direct evaluations, Dr. Soler Lopez offers individual consultation, workshops, and trainings for therapists, attorneys, and organizations looking to strengthen their work with immigrant communities.
